DEX10 provides remote monitoring for PEPN Horizon

PEPN invited Dexter to help them find a suitable camera solution to use on site. After having several meetings with PEPN we made an inventory and suggested DEX10 as best solution for their needs. They decided to install 10 DEX10 Ex proof CCTV cameras, because of its light weight (approx. 3 kg) and its temperature range of -20 °C to +50 °C.

This solution offers visual surveillance and the possibility to monitor the ongoing processes without having any personnel on site, while still being in control.

In theory this seemed a good idea but it was quite a challenge as the data needed to be transferred by a 1 MB point-to-point connection. As Dexter’s focus is on producing explosion proof camera stations, we decided to bring in one of our solution partners named Alphatron Security, specialized in developing camera, access control and communication systems.

Dexter and Alphatron Security joined forces and, in close contact to PEPN, developed a successful solution in which the camera footage can be interpreted remotely.
